About Patricia Healey
My name is, Patricia Healey. I am a metal artist living in sunny Tucson, Arizona. I am passionate about design, the medium of copper, and the tools of my craft.
Other tidbits about me:
My heart is held captive by a dog named Freckles.
Many of my design ideas pop into my head during my daily five mile walks, (Freckles always in tow).
I designed clothing for years.
I am hopelessly addicted to my daily lattes.
I have always been my happiest when I am making things. I really enjoy what I do.
Trade shows give me inspiration. They are a necessity to my creative process. (click here to visit my show schedule)
I keep a Hula Hoop next to my design table. When I've been at the table too long and feel stumped and slumped, a little hooping seems to loosen the creative juices and rights my body to boot, (as Mae West says: "You're never too old to grow young!")
I have two favorite times of day here in the desert; the sunrise and the sunset hours. I marvel at the spectrum of colors. I have my own “top secret” formula for the coloration of my copper creations. The colors mimic the ribbons of color that cross the skies each morning and the richest hues of colors that deepen as the sun falls over the Ironwood Mountains each night.
An ode to my customers:
Thank you for choosing to buy handmade and unique beads directly from the artist.
Thank you for allowing me to make a living doing what I love to do!
